Summer 2009

At times like this it is important to
remind ourselves of the ultimate
reasons for which we are laboring to
build a new church facility.
For the Lost… what a blessing it is
to see new people attending our services.
We have visitors nearly every
Sunday! Many of them do not know Christ as their personal Savior and
Lord. What a thrill it is to be used to help them discover the love of God! But is there adequate room for them? Room for their children? Adequate
restroom facilities? And how many more are we able to accommodate?
While we must be willing to use extreme methods to care for these newcomers,
I am convinced the time is now to provide a suitable new facility
and provide greater space. For the Lost.
For the Saints… Our church family is fi lled with precious saints. My heart
has been touched by the willingness of our congregation to be inconvenienced,
cramped, moved to yet another room, and all with a smile. We
need to consider that the saints need a new facility. I urge you to not think
only of your own needs. If you’re elderly – think of the youth who need adequate
space and room to grow. If you’re young – remember that there is
an increasing number of elderly that need a facility that is easier to maneuver
in. It is time for a new “home.” For the Saints.
For the Glory of God… In other words, “Is this new facility what God
wants? Will it bring Him honor? Yes, I believe it will. God helped us find
a beautiful piece of property. He then helped us pay it off in record time.
Currently, we have witnessed Him bring in nearly all the funds needed to
complete our site-work (almost $1 million received!). He even used an
earthquake to give us a little nudge. So I ask, “Would it be to His glory to
stop now?” Absolutely not! I hear Him saying, “Arise and build!” For the
Glory of God.
“Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God.
Arise and build the sanctuary of the Lord God…”
